HYPE Innovation is a 25-year-old enterprise innovation management vendor based in Bonn. On 8 September 2026 it relaunched as an "AI-first data platform" aimed at multinationals and public-sector institutions. Its own materials name Siemens, Airbus, Novartis, TD Bank, the UN and ESA among its customers, which are vendor claims rather than audited facts.
HYPE has grown largely by acquisition: HLP in 2020, Viima in 2021, INNOSPOT in 2021 and Planbox in 2024. Combined group revenue is around €30M after the Planbox deal, according to the investor announcement. It holds 4.8 out of 5 from 71 Capterra reviews as of September 2026.
Reviewers consistently praise workflow and reporting flexibility. They also point at the cost of that flexibility, with one Capterra reviewer noting that with flexibility comes having to learn and manage more about the platform. That is the classic enterprise trade: depth you can configure, and the work of configuring it.
What HYPE publishes about pricing: nothing
The contact page says pricing is based on your specific needs. There is no public tier list, no self-serve signup and no published trial for the enterprise platform. Any specific number you see for HYPE online is a third-party estimate, and we are not going to repeat one as if it were a quote.

Who HYPE Innovation is for
It is built for organisations with an innovation function: a programme owner, a multi-year plan, procurement, security review and a need to configure workflows and report across business units. If you have 2,000+ employees, several sites and a formal governance process, the enterprise machinery is the point, not overhead.
Who it is not for
- Companies of 50 to 400 people with no innovation manager and no appetite for a sales cycle.
- Buyers who need to see a price before they will take a call. Nothing wrong with that, it just is not HYPE's model.
- Teams that want to be collecting ideas this week rather than next quarter.
If you are evaluating or leaving HYPE
- Write down who owns the programme internally. Enterprise tools assume there is someone whose job this is.
- Ask what the licence covers: admin seats, end users, modules and AI features separately.
- Ask what implementation looks like in weeks, not features. Long implementations are where programmes die.
- Ask what you get back at exit: ideas, comments, votes, attachments, in a usable format.
What a smaller company actually needs
Strip it back and the requirement list is short: capture ideas from anywhere, triage them so nothing rots in an inbox, show the submitter what happened, and keep participation up with visible recognition. Everything else is optional. You can see how we handle those four things on the features page.
