What most firms already have
Walk around a typical 150 to 300 person firm and you will find the same pattern: ideas in Slack, a partner who collects suggestions by email, a quarterly offsite list, and a shared drive folder that nobody opens twice. Client-facing teams see process friction every week. Delivery and operations people see the same friction from the other side. None of that is wrong. The failure is what happens after someone writes it down.
Then the familiar failure points show up:
- Ideas die in a channel. There is no named owner and no decision the submitter can see.
- Support, finance and operations staff are left out of a scheme aimed only at fee-earners.
- Awkward ideas about process, handoffs or supervision never get submitted without anonymity.
- Leadership launches a theme, then cannot tell who is reviewing what or how fast.
- Nobody can say how many ideas came in last quarter, how many were answered, or what was shelved and why.
What a digital suggestion system has to do in a knowledge firm
- Catch rough notes. Useful ideas arrive as a brain dump, not a business case. AI that turns a rough note into a structured proposal matters more than a long form.
- Give every idea a named owner with approve, revise or shelve, and a status the submitter can see.
- Reach the whole firm. Fee-earners, delivery, client success and back office on one flat band, not a seat count.
- Allow anonymous submissions when the useful idea is also the awkward one.
- Run a challenge against a live problem, for example client onboarding, utilisation or cross-team handoffs, with a deadline.
- Hold a first-response time. 48 hours for an acknowledgement is achievable and it is what keeps people submitting.
- Report simply: submitted, answered and implemented, by team, not just a total.
How Harmoni maps to that list
- Runs in any browser on desktop, tablet or phone. No app to install and no Microsoft licence required for submitters.
- AI assistance that turns a rough note into a structured proposal, and AI scoring to help managers triage the queue. A person still decides.
- A manager review queue: approve, ask for a revision, or shelve with a reason, with feedback going back to the submitter.
- Anonymous idea submissions at every band.
- Innovation challenges with a deadline and a company portal for announcements, so leadership can point the firm at one problem at a time.
- Points, badges and leaderboards so recognition is not limited to the loudest channel.
- Analytics, reporting and export of submissions.
The product detail is on the features page. The site copy already calls out client-facing teams and the habit of losing ideas in Slack and email; this page is that job for professional services.
Why flat pricing matters in a firm
Per-seat pricing pushes firms to invite a pilot group and leave everyone else out. The people closest to the client work, and the people who run delivery, then never see the scheme as theirs. Harmoni is priced by the size of the organisation, so the whole workforce can be in the system on one monthly bill.
| Harmoni plan | Organisation size | Price | Seats |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | Up to 50 employees | £99 / month | All employees included |
| Team | 51-150 employees | £249 / month | All employees included |
| Growth | 151-400 employees | £399 / month | All employees included |
| 401-1,000 employees | Whole organisation, one flat price | £699 / month | All employees included |
| 1,001-2,000 employees | Whole organisation, one flat price | £1,199 / month | All employees included |
Harmoni prices as listed on this site in September 2026. Flat bands by employee count, all employees included, no per-seat charges.
A 30-day start plan for one firm
- Week 1: name the scheme owner and the managers who will review. Pick one live problem for the first challenge, and keep the submission form short.
- Week 2: invite the whole firm, not a handful of enthusiasts. Hold reviewers to a 48-hour first response.
- Week 3: post one accepted decision and one shelved decision with reasons where people will see them. Run the first recognition cycle.
- Week 4: review response times by team. Fix the slowest step, then open a second challenge or a second department.
Honest limits
- It is not practice management, CRM, time recording, document control or a knowledge base.
- A named owner who does not open the queue is the same failure as a Slack thread nobody owns. Software will not fix that.
- Anonymous suggestions are not a grievance or whistleblowing route. Keep those separate and say so in your policy.
- If your firm lives inside Microsoft Teams and you specifically want the tool embedded there, read the Microsoft Teams page before you choose.
Plants and shift-based sites should use the manufacturing page. Broader operations rollouts are on the operations page. Policy and HMRC reward rules are in the UK suggestion scheme guide.
